Home Schooling on the Road
The other day I spoke with Ben, an inspector enrolled in Joe Knows Energy’s platform, and asked how his family was. I expected to hear the usual I really miss them or I hope to see them in a few weeks. Instead I heard, “They are great! They are with me. We rented a house and decided to home school our children.” Ben said. “I was home schooled, and know it can be a good experience. The difference now is technology can make it effective on the road. Our local school district is working with us to provide all the technology we need. My wife oversees the learning process that the school prescribes and we get to spend time together exploring the area!.”
Ben is one of many inspectors who have explored, and have experienced good results from home schooling their children on the road. This is a game changer and I thought I would share what I have learned so far.

1. Many school districts will make this very easy for you.
2. They will provide the curriculum, the technology and the accountability process.
3. Many will allow your children to participate in local team sports.
4. Some charge a fee, some do not.
